Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. He / She communicates with physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

BONUS UPON COMPLETION BASED ON CONTRACT COMMITTMENT: 16 WEEKS - $1500 26 WEEKS - $2500 MUST START BY 10/30/2023 or 11/6/2024 WILL UPDATE COMP BONUS ONCE CONTRACT IS LOCKED IN *Replace 15987-3 Required Scheduling: Full Time (36hrs = 3 12-hr shifts / week) Every other weekend 1 Major Holiday or HTF shift 1 Minor Holiday or HTF shift No set block scheduling allowed except weekends only scheduling ( if available to be offered) Requested Days off may be negotiated Education/ onboarding details: Your first week is mandatory onboarding training with unit manager/ supervisor from 0900-1400 on first Monday of start week; then you may have 2 bedside orientation shifts with a bedside nurse preceptor Charting System: Sunrise Clinical Manager RNs are to wear Solid Royal Blue scrub tops, bottoms, and jackets ( if wanted). Undershirts are allowed but must be grey, blue, black, or white. Any colored closed toe, closed heel shoe is allowed. No artificial, gel, or dip nails are allowed. No use of personal devices are allowed in patient care areas. Uniforms are not provided. Staff must purchase and wear correct color scrubs from day 1 and on.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
 
1. Current and valid state RN License.
2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
3. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
4. Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
5. Ventilator Management experience preferred.
6. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

7EW Medical Observation is a 46 bed unit. Our patient population is primarily adult acute inpatient Med-Surg with observation status patients as well as overflow low-grade specialty patients. Our nurse to patient ratio is 1:4-6 patients; more commonly it is 5-6 patients. Nursing assistants are a part of team staffing. They are Patient Care Technicians who are on 12 patient teams each. Teamwork and supporting each others growth are two very important aspects to the 7EW leadership team.
